A Real Gentleman

I met Ben 25 years ago. I had an antique mall "Abe's Antiques" and Ben was one of my first dealers. Ben loved pottery and that is what he displayed and sold at our mall. He became our "Pottery Expert" and there was no one more knowledgeable in the area than our Ben. Although Ben's pottery was an asset to our mall, Ben became the REAL asset, and one of my closest friends. He became part of my family also having a close relationship with my son Abe. After the mall closed, we kept in close contact. I can't count the wonderful lunches and visits we had. Ben loved children and would come to the house to visit not only with me, but my grandchildren (Abe's three sons). On yes, Ben told many stories, sometimes more than once LOL, but we never tired of hearing them. That was "Ben". He also talked about his Mother and Father and his love for his precious daughters and their families. Ben was kind, thoughtful, loyal and one of the most down to earth persons I have ever known. He never mentioned that he was "Dr. Greenwell" or what a smart, smart man he was. You are going to be soooooo missed my dear friend Ben, but will always live on in my memories and heart. We love you!
